Effective Saturday, February 18, 2017, all regular Mail Handlers will receive 1.2% contractual rate increase. MHA employees will receive a 2.2% contractual rate increase.
In addition, regular Mail Handlers will receive a $21 cost-of-living adjustment (September 2016 COLA) added to their base pay. On March 4, 2017, regular Mail Handlers will receive an additional $333 for the March COLA which represents an additional $0.16 per hour.
MHA employees do not receive COLA payments.
For a level 4 Mail Handler at the top step (P), the wage increases during the forty months of the contract will total $2,137, including $675 retroactively effective in November 2016, $731 effective in November 2017, and $731 effective in November 2018 (not including COLA adjustments, if any). … Keep reading...
