Effective November 24, 2018, Career Mail Handlers will receive a 1.3% wage increase of their basic annual salary for the grade and step in effect on May 20, 2016.
MHA employees will receive 1.3% and will also receive an additional 1% annually for a total of 2.3%.
This is the third of three scheduled general wage increases as outlined in the 2016 National Agreement.
Our National Contract with the Postal Service is set to expire next year on September 20, 2019.

I want to congratulate former Local 320 Treasurer David Worhack for his well-deserved retirement. As Local Treasurer, Dave shared many money-saving ideas that greatly improved our finances. I also want to thank Dave for his commitment in training new Local Treasurer Art Aguilar.
On a personal note, it has been an honor and a privilege for the last 4 years to have worked closely with Dave. I personally will miss Dave because he was not only a co-worker, a Union brother but most importantly, Dave became a great friend. We are happy to announce that effective Pay Period 19, September 1st, 2018, Career Mail Handler employees are scheduled to receive the fifth of seven possible Cost-of-Living adjustments (COLA). This COLA provides an annual increase of $645. This COLA increase is based on the upward change in the relevant Consumer Price Index (CPI) following release of the July 2019 Index.
This represents approximately $.30 cents increase per hour for all Steps in Table 1 and for Step P of Table 2. The remaining Steps will receive the proportional COLA increase percentages as outlined in Article 9.3 of the National Agreement.… Keep reading...

On July 7, 2018, we signed an agreement to settle some cross-craft cases (not all cases) from September 2017 to June 1, 2018. We also agreed to a cross-craft grace period until September 15. Most cases are ONLY from January 1, 2018 until June 1, 2018. There were a few cases that were included going back to September 2017.
Let me make this CLEAR. Not all cross-craft cases were included in this global settlement. It only covers a 5-month period; again from January 1, 2018 until June 1, 2018. Most cross-craft cases are being paid at Step 1 or Step 2 of the grievance procedure. … Keep reading...

I am very pleased to announce Local Management has agreed to convert 35 MHA employees to full-time career positions within two pay periods. We will be posting the names in the next few days.
In addition, 10 full-time regular employees will be processed through eReassign for a total of 45 employees.
A lump sum of $250,000 will be paid ONLY to Mail Handler employees at the West Valley P&DC.
This agreement will settle all cross-craft grievances currently pending at any level of the grievance procedure but DOES NOT include Peak Season 2016 and DOES NOT include Peak Season 2017.… Keep reading...
